Personal from Tim- I've enjoyed the emails and positive connections with many of you that have contacted me in one form or another. Thanks for being a part of this resource for bands and musicians in St Louis. I'd like to acknowledge those who add culture, creativity and live music to the communities we live in. What a boring and lifeless place we would be without that! So what's this site about anyway? . . . . This online resource is designed to be an asset for music lovers and St Louis bands, providing primarily two things - 1) Give local bands a free online resource where they can get more gigs and be seen by music fans that are looking. ("st louis bands" is a common local search phrase, and this website is showing well on the major search engines for that term and others similar to it) and . . . 2) Give music lovers an easy place to find out when and where various St Louis bands are playing and a chance to hear what they sound like beforehand. It's true. It used to leave me with shrugged shoulders when I saw bands I wasn't familiar with listed in the RFT or somewhere else. Hearing a new band is great, but how about a clue first so you have a taste of what you might be in for? I mean, a lot of people don't want to risk an evening hearing heavy metal when they prefer to move to a dance band, or jazz, or vice-versa. Or a crappy band compared to a tight one. You get the idea and probably know the experience, right? Now St. Louis live music searchers can come here, and in almost all cases quickly click on a band, see where they are playing and when not familiar with them, listen to a music sample on their website and get a feel beforehand. Band members, besides the free listing, for now there is additional space made available for extra exposure to promote your band or St Louis music venue if you want that. There's a good chance your St Louis band should
already be showing up on the left side of the page where the band list
is, or will be listed soon for you free as a courtesy to you and those
looking to find out more about your group or where you are playing. I'm OK with a nudge if it's not on here yet. My email is below. Also, if your band needs additional search engine exposure, I do that for various St Louis businesses from brick tuckpointing to firewood sales and generally get a local business on the first page of major search engines. It brings a lot of customers and it can get you more listeners. Contact

If your band isn't listed on the band page,
scroll down further to see qualifications and where where my email is
found. Let me know you wish to be listed and I'll add it. Bands
who want to stand out large and be featured with a picture, message,
and link on the right side of the "St Louis Bands" list page, spaces
are limited and charges are . . . -way less than they should be. In short, we want to get you some gigs and expect this to do that for what amounts to pocket change if your band members contribute- yea, the bass player too.  An estimated $350 value, I took the fee down to $95 for remaining on that page in a prominent way 24/7 for an entire year. These are very targeted searchers because you are on a website designed to attract visitors who want to see or hire a St Louis band. You're promised the price won't go up if you're in before the remaining spots are gone. Split it with band members and you're down to pocket change. Look at examples on the "band" page to see what it would look like and please read the two requirements below. Update Feb 17th 2012 - Only 1 featured spot left out of 6 total. Arguably the best local online exposure for the money in STL. $95 for a whole YEAR. There are also 2 spots available on the home page for a yearly fee of $195. Serious online search engine exposure. This website is prominently found on the search engines for terms like "st louis bands", "st louis bands for hire", and others. (Do a search and see for yourself). It's also benefiting from online ads pointing to it- and therefore to you. Don't Lose Gigs. When people don't know about your group, it means you lose gigs. Don't do that. This featured option is found on the St Louis band listings page. Contact me if you want to grab one for yourself. Qualifications are simple. 1) Must have a website (or one in process) so I can link your picture to it, and 2) Be a band or local musician playing in and based in the St Louis area or within 150 miles from the city. (I imagined painting out a line of that circle myself, because it would be GREAT publicity, but potential trespasser and property value issues dissuaded me). Bands outside this area will not be considered for a featured spot, as this is only for St Louis musicians. For a featured listing, email with "featured listing" with image and website and Paypal fee to this email below. You are also invited to take a small, friendly risk and pick up the phone.
